Kent Wild Life Trust there is a wealth of conservation work being undertaken by statutory bodies, charities, non-governmental organisations and others across the county but to date, there hasn’t been a comprehensive, or easily accessible, means of documenting it.

In 2017 Kent Wildlife Trust embarked upon a collaborative project with the Kent and Medway Biological Records Centre, the Environment Agency and Kent Nature Partnership to develop a map-based tool to do just that. During 2020 as part of the Nature's Sure Connected project, the tool has been updated to add extra functionality to allow it to be the main way data is gathered to inform county-wide reporting on the area of land in conservation management, vital to feed into Kent's Biodiversity and Environment Strategies, Single Data List 160 (the proportion of Local Wildlife Sites in management) and State of Nature in Kent reporting.

Hemsted has around five miles of hard surface road around the forest which allows for easy walking and wheelchair use. The multitude of unsurfaced tracks are perfect for any cross country runners who like a bit of mud in the winter and provide many more miles to explore for all!

The National Pinetum is home to a world-leading collection of conifers and provides a beautiful setting for peaceful walks and picnics. The Bedgebury cafe also has wonderful views of the pinetum. 

Bedgebury Forest has miles of family cycling and mountain-biking, walking, and running trails, as well as Go Ape tree top adventure, and an adventure play trail.

At the Soil association they have a design that symbolises the holistic, ecosystem approach of organic farming and a focus on the positive impact organic has on the planet, these materials are ideal for popping into delivery boxes, displaying in-store or using across your social media platforms. They are also a great source of information when onboarding new staff members to teach them about organic.
